Susan qualified in 1994 from The University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. After qualifying, she moved to the UK for 6 years before returning to South Africa and running a private practice for 16 years. During this time, she co-founded the tooth fairy project at Red Cross Children's Hospital. The project worked with children, parents and staff educating them to become oral health experts.
